This undergraduate level paper examines the ways in which authors, Jessica Benjamin ("The Bonds of Love") and Frantz Fanon ("Black Skin, White Masks") confront the "temptation" to view the world in extremes. Each author confronts this issue by exploring the mechanisms inherent in vilifying what is seen as opposition through generalizations. The paper examines each author's approach to the issue. 8 pgs.
